Commendation

This piece is a self-portrait of myself. I did it as a part of one of my school projects. I wanted to show all my interest in one piece, so I wrote a short poem about who I am and painted the test over a drawn image of myself. I wanted to be clear and impactful. I felt it was short, simple and gave insight to who am I while not revealing too much and be interrupted by the youth that reads it. I think, although it is me, it represents all the young girls of Ireland like me and their aspirations.
