This picture inspired me as it reminded me of the endless imagination we possessed as young children. The world was our oyster. I created this piece using acrylic on canvas-board. The dominant colour of pink throughout the painting represents our shared girlhood. The butterflies on the wallpaper are significant as they convey that abundance of imagination that made us feel as if we could fly. I hope that if those young girls in the painting could see us today, they would be proud of who we’ve become.
