My plan for this drawing originated from a self portrait I drew. It was a contour drawing where I had outlined the highlights and shadows only to realise that the spots looked like rose petals . As my Idea further developed I began wondering how a nature goddess would appear. This is my depiction of how I think she would look. I used a white colouring pencil to symbolise the beauty and purity of nature and used a black colouring pencil to convey the destruction humankind causes wildlife. Meanwhile I used the red background paper to symbolise the anger and rage I think My nature goddess would feel in response to how we treat our planet.
