Winner • 16-18 Category • 2024This is a self portrait symbolising my own imagination and the joy creating art gives me. On the polaroids are various past artworks of mine that I still take pride in! All the pictures featured are from previous photoshoots I've done of my art, which I printed out then painted over to accentuate. I wanted to make it seem like I was putting the photos up in my own mind. It's an acrylic painting on canvas with mixed media aspects. I've sewn iridescent beads into the thought cloud to give it a more dreamy and magical appearance. The background consists of abstract swirls painted in gouache, with colourful crosshatched shading done with gel pens.
