16-18 Category • 2024My piece is a drawing on paper of an animal skull surrounded by flowers. The skull is a still life, coloured in grey and brown tones. I thought about creating a contrast with it, so i added brightly coloured flowers growing up around it. The different hues create a stark difference between the 2 objects, and i imagined them symbolising life and death. Thw skull can represent an old chapter, and the flowers, a new one.
