This is an acrylic painting featuring my younger brother that represents how our imagination can take us into a world of our own. I was inspired after coming across my little Brother playing With his toys. My brother has dyslexia and is one of the most creative Minded children I've ever met. He's always coming up with unique ideas. I wanted to capture the endless possibilities of what even the simplist of things can hold, which is why the plushies bellow, can be seen coming to life above as something strange yet wonderous. The title of this painting is called "On cloud nine" Because not only does our imagination take us into an incredible world of our Own, that dreamy world of can bring us emmense and utter joy. The galactic background represents how far your imagination can take you. The clouds that he and his Teddies are resting on takes a literal term to the metaphor "on cloud 9". The vibrant colours are to show how our creative minds stand out and are unlike no other. This also goes for the blue monochromatic portrait of my amazing brother. I chose the colour blue as it's his absolute favourite colour.
