This art piece was inspired by a thrilling trip to the circus. The circus had always compelled curiosity in me, even as a young girl. From the flashing lights, the unfamiliar, odd stage acts, to the mystery behind the masks and what lurks backstage within the shadows. The circus has always managed to keep its secrets from the public. Something that has always been a thought in the back of my head, so as I began to draw my mind had gone blank, yet my imagination and hands had done all the work for me. I had used different mediums such as chalks, paints, water colours, pencils, oil pastels and markers to sketch and to fill the empty white page with all the colours from the circus. I had also aimed to draw the food you would usually see at the circus, such as popcorn, chocolates, cotton candy and varieties of sweets. I had also added sweet rappers and pink dyed cotton into my work, to make the art piece hold more texture as well as realism.
