Happy

Rupert • 3 • Limerick

Rupert spent a lot of time painting this reused canvas with paint sticks and watercolours. During painting, Rupert opened up about his feelings and how certain colours were “happy, sad, scared” etc. black, surprisingly, was used as a happy colour. Overall, this abstract work, with its joyous use of colour, Encourages the observer to engage in child-like imagination, interpretation, and feeling. It’s overall impression is one of joy. Early exposure To the work of Basquiat has impacted this painting.
