What I Wanted to do with this piece was to depict the feeling of getting “hit Over the head” with an idea or burst of creativity and simply having to get it down onto paper before you forget it. I believe this fits the theme of “This Is Imagination” as sometimes great ideas just come to you from seemingly nowhere. The piece was done on paper, with acrylic paints, oil pastels, pencil, Fine point pen, ballpoint pen, Calligraphy pen, Ink and cut out pieces of paper for the elements coming out of the character’s head and pencil. These elements coming from the character’s head and acrylic paint surrounding them are meant to represent the Undistilled Imaginative idea that the character has come about, while the sparks coming out of the pencil and what’s on the paper is the character’s attempt at getting it out of their head and into the real world.
