My piece is inspired by Edvard Munch “the scream” from a modern perspective;of our own world world where we live within the confines of our own minds and imaginations. Our heads can be our own personal prisons where our innermost insecurities fester. Too often the screams of those in our communities are heard only by the walls of their own minds. I hope this piece can inspire others to share their struggle with people who can help, theres a multitude of support systems at our disposal if we can break that barrier within ourselves.
