In my artwork, Drowning in Love, I express the personal and sense of being surrounded by love and vulnerability. I am centred in the painting, resting on the water. This artwork , illustrates how love may surround us, creating a sense of protection but at the same time creating feelings of vulnerability. Hands surround me, each one differently painted in vibrant colours to represent the various ways my family and friends have expressed their love. The use of vibrant, varied colours for each hand highlights the differentness of these relationships, implying that everyone brings their own energy, feelings, and experiences to their love for me. This choice shows diversity in human connection by showing how each relationship contributes to my love experience. The water beneath my figure provides further meaning. It expresses the depth of emotion that comes with love. While the central figure appears peaceful, the surrounding hands depict a dynamic flow of relationships. This creates visual suspense, allowing people to delve into the details of their own love experiences.
