In this piece, I’ve used oil pastels to bring a wolf to life, focusing on its intense, dual-colored eyes that capture its wild spirit and mystery. The contrasting colors in the eyes symbolize the balance of strength and vulnerability, light and darkness within us all. I chose oil pastels for their rich, textured feel, allowing me to layer and blend colors that reflect the wolf’s energy and depth. My goal was to show not just the wolf’s fierce presence but also the quiet wisdom it holds within, reminding us of the complexity in nature—and in ourselves.
