This painting was made to Acknowledge The pretend games i used to play with my best friend then (and best friend now!). We escaped into worlds where we were fairies or princesses, mermaids or supernaturals. Thus, we stole my mother’s High heels from her wardrobe, as well as any clothes or accessories we strictly referred to as ‘Fancy Stuff’. It’s with her that i created my fondest Memories of Friendship as a child. This painting will forever remind of my childhood home and the new worlds we created inside the four walls of my room. Despite being two years older, she was always patient with my demands to be the queen of the kingdom or leader of the Magical realm. Looking back at old photos of us helped make this such a lovely experience to create.
