The image shows a palm tree in the centre. The palm tree is brown with green leaves and small coconuts. I picked a palm tree because it reminds me of beaches and vacations. The tree stands on yellow sand, representing the beach. The yellow colour conveys warmth and sunshine, making the picture bright and cheerful. Behind the palm tree are the sea and the sky. I used different shades of blue felt for the water and the sky. Blue is vital in my artwork because it reminds me of the ocean and contributes to the calm, relaxing vibe of the picture. I added white clouds to the sky to give it a soft, peaceful look. There's also a yellow sun in the sky, indicating it is a sunny day by the sea. I chose felt for this artwork because it is soft and easy to work with. The texture of the felt adds a gentle, natural feel to the picture. I like how the felt looks slightly fuzzy, as it makes the scene feel calm and quiet, like the seaside. Using felt also helped me blend the colours smoothly and create simple shapes. The colours in this artwork are why I chose this image. The blue, yellow, green, and white complement each other and remind me of the seaside. These colours make me feel relaxed and happy.
