12-15 Category • 2026I was born in Cork ,and have visited it before. It is a very scenic county. The title of my painting is Glengarriff. It shows a mountainous landscape with woodland. This painting was done in watercolour and was taken from a photograph. I began by using light washes of paint and slowly added more colour as the painting developed. I worked in stages. First, I painted the sky and wet the paper so the paint would flow more easily. Next, I painted the woodland, and finally the water and other details.
