For my painting, I was inspired by bioluminescence and rock pools because I saw a programme on tv and was mesmerized by the beauty of bioluminescence in the water at dusk/night time. This painting takes place just as the sun is setting over the sea. When I go to the beach, I love looking in the rock pools and watching the little crabs move around searching for food. I find bioluminescence amazing, therefore I incorporated both bioluminescence and rock pools in my painting.I searched for an image of bioluminescence in a rock pool for inspiration and I added more light blue and purple in order for the bioluminescence to stand out on the page. I used inks and acrylics to get the right colors. To make it look more interesting. I put water on the painting and dripped colors on to the water and let it mix around. I'm very happy with how it came out. It took me five days to make this art piece. I am very proud of my piece and I hope you like it too.
