The World Wears Many Faces is a collection of masks created by Transition Year students in St Tiernan’s Community School. Each mask represents a different aspect of nature, ranging from ocean life and wildlife to volcanic forces. They are inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Masks have traditionally been used to represent identity, emotion, and social commentary. In this project, we want to give a “face” to nature and encourage viewers to connect with environmental issues. We aim to remind people of our shared Responsibility to protect the planet.
