16-18 Category • 2026My initial intention was to show nature using a simple, non-living material that we see every day, which is wire. By bending and shaping the wire into a deer, flowers, and a butterfly, I wanted to create something that feels alive. The curved lines and repeated spiral shapes show movement and help connect all parts of the sculpture together. Using one material creates unity and shows how everything in nature is connected.
