12-15 Category • 2026This art piece is of a character of mine that is heavily associated with nature, Seedpod. The character has passed away and spends its afterlife in an ever-expanding field of sorts, filled with trees, rivers and plants but no animals. In this image Seedpod is lying down on the grass, tired and worn as there is no living creatures in this eternity. You can take this as a commentary on how we can try to save nature but without the living beings in nature it is empty and hollow, but I will let you decide if that was my true intention or not. I used many different supplies in the making of this piece. I used colouring pencils (mostly on the face), acrylic markers (sun side of the characters face, pants and tunic), soft pastels by itself (background), material I dyed with said soft pastels (the cloak) and oil pastels (background).
