12-15 Category • 2026I am Dara Aherne, I live in rural Cork so seeing nature as the theme was a blessing for me. In my artwork I drew a historical monument that is near where I live, I chose Castle Bernard because I was there recently and couldn’t help but notice how the castle is being claimed back in to nature with wildlife living in its walls, trees growing around it and only the stone shell of the castle remaining.
