My name is Emily Otway, and I am thirteen years old. My piece is titled “Small Things that Matter” My piece is mainly focused on a jellyfish, specifically an Atlantic sea nettle, but with different colours. The “stars” around it are meant to look like the other bioluminescent creatures or animals. I have always had a fear of jellyfish, so I decided to turn them into something beautiful instead. Even when I first heard about the competition, I wanted to do jellyfish. The piece was somewhat inspired by a scene from a game called “Stardew Valley”, the scene is called “The Dance of the Moonlight Jellies.”
