My name is Lara and my painting is called Four Seasons in One Day. I chose this name because my painting is the same scene separated into quarters, with each quarter representing one of the four seasons. To make my picture, I traced around a plate to create a circle in the middle of the page. Then I separated the circle into even quarters and began to draw my tree. I drew the trunk and then started to add leaves for the “Spring” section. Then I added pink blossoms to the tree. Next, I got started on “Autumn.” For the branches I added random lines with smaller lines coming out. Then I added leaves on some of the branches. After that, I drew the snowman for “Winter.” I simply did three circles (one on top of the other), added arms, a carrot nose, a scarf, and a cute little hat. For “Summer”, I wasn’t sure what to do, but eventually, I decided on some grass and a little tyre swing. Now that I had finished drawing, it was time to paint! I used watercolours because I could change the shade just by adding water. I was using special watercolour paper so the water wouldn’t leak through. I love nature because it is so beautiful and it is where I get a lot of my ideas and inspiration. I really hope you like my painting! :)
