Medieval Sunrise on the sea

My work depicts a medieval knight in full armour laying against a tree while watching the sunrise over the coast that he guards. A possible idea that I had for the painting was that the knight would be on a night watch and was tasked with watching out for enemies, but I'll leave this open for interpretation. I got the inspiration for the sunrise from the view of the sea on an early morning in Greystones and was taken aback by the beautiful and vivid colours of the sky. I also added the knight as I wanted to practice how light would reflect off of the armour, and because of my fascination with the Medieval period. It took me about 4 days to complete the work over the Christmas break, working on the piece for 4+ hours on each of those days. It is on a 50x70 cm canvas and made with oil paints.
