My name is Tara. I love all types of art , art is my favourite hobby and I enjoy it. The piece I made is called "Two sides of one mind". I used fresh rushes from the field across from my grandparents house by first drawing the shape of the face. Then pasting double sided tape on to the piece I drew, then carefully cut the rushes out carefully on to the drawing. I feel it is special because I made it from natural plants. This represents the two personalities in one person. I added small details with different things I found around the house, one eye on the right side I used a conker that I found near my school. Rushes change colour over time so I decided to paint over the rushes with acrylic paint to make them look different, I then decorated it by using my imagination and carefully cutting, and simple craft techniques.
