In my piece I wanted to convey how nature is a beautiful piece of artwork and a very colourful one at that. People see nature from different perspectives. I am giving a general idea of nature and its colours at the bottom of the ocean, in the ocean, on the seashore and in the sky. As nature is a piece of art I decided it should be included in my piece. I gathered items to use from the beach. I tried to include human interactions such as sandcastle building and fishing. I used cardboard and paper as a general structure. Included materials are shells, stones, bone, sand, thistle, driftwood, sandpaper, tissue paper, wool, felt tips, broken jewelry and pipe cleaners. I have made birds, crabs and a boat using origami Handmade woollen pom poms make the swimming fish. Pom-poms form the coral on the seabed. You can meet our friend the deep sea angler fish protecting his pearls in the cave. The rainbow and clouds were added to enable the birds to fly. I hope you enjoy the perspectives I have shown and inspire you to look at nature from your own.
