I drew a parrot because of all the colours they have. I saw them on holidays in Lanzarote and they are so different to the birds we see here in Ireland I have a teddy parrot and a Lego parrot at home so that is where I got the idea. For the background I used watercolours and for the parrot I used a mix of alcohol markers and colouring pencils.when I drew this picture I focused a lot on the feathers and how they are different on different parts of the body.
