My work is based on the beauty of colour in nature through looking at leaves and the four seasons. I went to the forest and collected some leaves. I took these home and experimented with different ways to display the leaves before I started my sketching. I used black card and sketched out my leaves lightly in pencil. I then looked at the colours of leaves in the different seasons and used acrylic markers to achieve a radiant outcome using vibrant, contrasting colours. I wanted to achieve a bold and modern art piece.
