8-11 Category • 2026This piece was inspired by my budgie, Guapa, imagining her in a forest with falling leaves. She and the branch were done with coloured pencils and outlined with archival ink. The background and the leaf print were done with watercolour. The yellow represents the sun shining through the leaves. I chose to do the leaf print because I wanted to capture fine detail and create a realistic effect.
