Create your work using any medium or materials you have available to you. Think about what your artwork represents, how you want the viewer to feel and what it is you want to express. Consider this year’s theme: This is Imagination! and show us what sparks your creativity.
Download Artist's BriefAn artist's statement is simply a short introduction to an artwork, written by the artist. When you’re writing yours, be sure to describe the materials and process you used to create your work and tell us why you were inspired to create it. You can include whatever you think is significant or anything that might help a viewer to better understand you and your work. Best to keep it short. No longer than 500 words maximum.
Snap or scan a digital version of your artwork using a smart-phone, digital camera or scanner. Take the time to present and capture the best possible version of your work in a single high quality image. Ask for help from an adult if you need to.
There are lots of free online tools and apps out there to help you reproduce your artwork faithfully. Check out these programmes and see what they can do for your art.
