This year's theme is

This is Us!

RTÉ This Is Art! invites young artists to explore what people, relationships and belonging mean to them. Celebrate the people you love, the places you belong and the moments you share. "Us" can mean anything you want it to, your family, friends, community, team, class, culture, or a place you feel connected to. However you choose to interpret it, we want to see what "This Is Us!" means to you.

How to Enter

Entry Guide

1. CREATE

Create your artwork using any media or material. Explore "This is Us!" and make a work that reflects your own ideas and unique perspective.

2. SNAP

Snap or scan a high-quality digital version of your artwork. Make sure your image is sharp, clear and free from shadows or obstructions. You'll also need a short Artist Statement telling us what you used, what your artwork is about and what inspired you.

3. UPLOAD

Upload your artwork and Artist Statement to the RTÉ This Is Art! website, with permission from a parent or guardian, before midnight on 31 January 2027.

The Prizes

There are more than €10,000 in prizes and awards up for grabs! From iPads and art supplies to portfolio courses and vouchers, there's something to get excited about across every age category, including our Group category for schools and community groups.

First, second and third place prizes are awarded across each category, giving young artists of all ages the chance to have their creativity recognised and rewarded. Those who are shortlisted will also receive a printed certificate to celebrate their achievement.

But it's not just about the prizes. First place in every category will also receive a unique TIA! Grand Prix Winners Trophy, a special award to celebrate their achievement.
