This is a portrait of my Dad during the lockdown. The restrictions meant he has spent a lot more time at home, making him the perfect model. Normally his hair is much tidier, but he hasn’t been to the barbers since March. I have always favoured drawing people over anything else. Our face is a canvas painted with features that tell stories through expression. With this in mind, I focused on the intricate complexities of my Dad’s face for a peculiar portrayal that reflects the memories of 2020.
