Commendation

Oblivious’ depicts being unaware of how we sabotage ourselves when it is clear to others. But the most extraordinary thing about this artwork is how it means different things to different people — ranging from struggling with mental health to oppression to propaganda — yet all were equally meaningful and valid. We learn so much about other people just from how they interpret some lines and colours — and that, to me, is the most extraordinary aspect of art, and is what makes it so fulfilling.
