Commendation

This shows how I explored different media and techniques to present an expression of myself. I kept the palette of colours on the page as I worked. I wanted to explore different perspectives of my head and ways of drawing my features before I did the main drawing in the centre. I used rough strokes of watercolour paint and pencil to experiment in the smaller sketches. For the main portrait in the centre, I decided to go with a more realistic approach using coloured pencils and a bit of paint in the hair. I used different and unusual colours for the skin tone - green, blue and yellow.
