the see-through garden

We painted flowers and plants, because artists love to practise drawing nature. We also drew butterflies, bees and snails. Sometimes we need to control the art materials and make them do what we want, but this time we let nature take over. We mixed clear glue with paint and let gravity guide the flow. You can see all the movement in the paint layers. Sometimes it stayed in place and other times it moved about in random ways. We didn’t mind, because that’s what art is all about. We wanted to see our garden in a real landscape, so we laminated it and brought it outside to be photographed on the grass.
