8-11 Category • 2025This artwork is a pencil sketch of a squirrel eating a nut on a tree stump. I was inspired to draw this as we had a squirrel in our back garden and wanted to capture an everyday moment from nature. This drawing reflects my interest in sketching using simple materials. I used 5B pencil on paper, using line work and shading to create texture in the squirrels fur, tree stump and grass.
