We learned that he makes his art outside using things like leaves, sticks, and stones instead of paint or paper. I thought that was amazing, so I wanted to try it too. I made my artwork in the woods near my house using orange autumn leaves, sticks, and grass, and then photographed it. When I looked at it, it reminded me of a zebra crossing, but instead of black and white, it was orange and brown, just like a fox. That is how it got its name, Fox Crossing. There is a real fox that lives near our house. I have seen her in the woods before, and I imagined her walking or playing across my artwork, blending in with all the colours. It made me smile to think that animals might enjoy my art too. I feel really lucky that I have nature right outside my home. There are so many shapes, colours, and textures to use and explore. Making Fox Crossing helped me see how art can be part of the world around us, not just something we make inside. For me, this is nature because it means using what is already there, being creative outdoors, and noticing how everything in nature is connected.
