When the wind calls is about the feeling that we get when we just need to be within nature, how it calls out to us in all its beautiful forms. In this painting we see all different aspects of nature that are special to me, from different times of the day like sunsets, and sunny days to the northern lights, and florals like hibiscus and plumerias (which are my favourite!) and the dramatisation of waves crashing against our bodies, and how we feel grounded, the fruits that nature gives us and how she nurtures us. To me nature means a lot more than the air we breathe, but how it's a place of serenity and divinity where you don't feel judged, so while painting this I thought of all the aspects that make this piece say this is nature in my eyes.
