I’ve printed an orange butterfly as i was inspired by the colour patterns found on their wings. I tried to make my print as colourful as possible to Emulate my fields in summer when they are in full bloom. I decided to focus on a butterfly for my art as when i was searching for inspiration i stumbled upon old photos of my mum and i out collecting blackberries in august. While we were out we found a marsh fritillary butterfly Completely still on a flower and we were able to get amazing views of it. This was special to me as i have always heard about how rare these butterflys are and i had never seen one in person. I feel Particularly taken By these butterflies as my land is one of the only places in ireland that they live, they represent A special connection to my home.
