This is a painting of my puppy Oreo, she is one year old. Her birthday was on Tuesday, January 6th. She is a very playful puppy and we have lots of fun together. I love taking her for walks with my other puppy Daisy. Oreo and Daisy are twins. They are sometimes naughty, they don’t like having showers and always run away from me when I am trying to wash them. I also like playing fetch with her, but she isn’t very good at that game. My painting shows Oreo sitting in my garden. She doesn’t really like to sit still for long unless I am petting her. Although, she does like to sit on the doorstep when she is waiting for me to go and play with her. We called her Oreo because of the colour of her fur. To paint her I used black and mixed it with browns and white to make her fur look silky and shiny. Oreo has a white strip on her face, a white belly and white paws. I mixed a little grey with the white paint for these areas. I painted Oreo’s eyes very big and round, with green inside them, which makes her look curious and a little bit surprised. Her nose is big and shiny, and her ears stick out to the sides, giving her a friendly and slightly silly look. Her tail is curled behind her, which shows that she is happy and relaxed. The way the paint is brushed on makes her fur look soft and fuzzy. The sky is a soft blue with lighter patches that look like clouds floating by, the grass is painted with different shades of green and I added glitter paint to it to make the grass shine. In the corner, there is a splash of bright orange for sunshine I loved using acrylic paints to create this painting on the canvas of my dog.
