i was inspired to create this mask as a celebration of the samhain festival. i incorporated a mix of recycled artificial flowers with leaves which i dried up over four weeks. i recycled cardboard and cut it to the shape required. i was inspired by the theme of nature, especially around the time of samhain as it marks the changing of the seasons. it is a celebration of the blending of our world with the spirit world. "hidden in nature" explores the peace i feel when in nature. it represents the calm of nature while also portraying the colour throughout the various seasons.
