Lydia painted a landscape on a summer day viewed out a window. She recently studied the art of Henry Matisse in Junior Infants, and this peeked her interest in vibrant colours and abstract shapes and patterns. Her painting reflects this by using short brushstrokes and bright colours to reflect spring growth and flowers, with golden sunshine bursting through the center.
