8-11 Category • 2026I painted this art piece with acrylic Paint on Canvas. I live in crumlin in Dublin and it is very concreted and grey. I love going to places that are colourful and full of Life. During Christmas I visited Carrowkeel in Sligo and I was amazed at how natural it looked and the view was beautiful. It was the opposite of Crumlin. green fields, tall mountains, lots of birds, wild animals. sheep and no cars. My idea of perfect. My painting was inspired by this visit and is shows a sheep on a rock on the side of the mountain in Carrowkeel . I used lots of different shades of green to show how grassy and fresh the fields were compared to the city. I painted the sky with swirling brushstrokes to make it feel windy and wild, just like it was on the day. I didn't worry about making it neat; I wanted it to feel like a real adventure.
