12-15 Category • 2026I always go on my holidays to Achill Island in Mayo. I love to escape to the wilderness and to go to the beach. It awakens all of my senses - The taste and smell of the air, the sound and the feeling of the strong wind. I love to see the gigantic cliffs and the sea, or better still, to swim in it. The beach in Keel is my favourite place and this picture represents that. I created my artwork with lots of practise. I sketched it out with pencil and made sure to get the correct shape of everything, especially the cliffs. I then used my oil pastels to colour it in.
