16-18 Category • 2026This piece started as in Investigation into the world around me. I initially wanted to just experiment with tones that i Wouldn't use together. The items and views stem from my own life. I wanted to explore the theme of shelf life. The painting invites the viewer to pause, to look both inward and outward, and to find beauty in a fleeting, ordinary moment transformed by memory and imagination. I did not want the painting to just abide by logical sense, to create an element of unease.
