My work is called "Cherished by the Cherry Blossom" to show how nature comforts us and wraps itself around us, just like this cherry blossom's petals have fallen around me. Nature wraps itself around us all, all the time. When we are enveloped by nature, it soothes our senses. I hope that my viewer will feel how I imagine feeling as I sit on the grass, cherished by the cherry blossom. As I sit here, I can smell the sweet smell of the cherry's petals falling softly around me. I can see the still waters of the peaceful lake. I can relax in the warmth of the sun, which has now set behind the mountains. The mountains themselves shield me from the wind. I feel lost in the moment and safe in the knowledge that nature cherishes me and I hope you feel that too.
