my intention for this piece was to create a nature- inpired artwork that explores reflection through digital media. i made this piece in rememberance of my grandfather, who passed away in November. he loved robins, and is favourite quote was "when a loved one is near, a robin appears". this quote and his ove for nature inspired me to create this artwork. i chose the theme of reflection because whenever i see a robin, it feels like i am seeing him again. the rebon represents memory, connection and comfort for me. i created this artwork using the online digital art software Kleki. i used around ten different layers, experimenting with line work. opacity, and a range of colours and tones to create depth. these techniques helped me achieve an animated style while still keeping the piece emotional and meaningful.
