I spent lots of time on them and wanted to put them in one piece of art. That was my inspiration for this piece. To make my art work I used a wipe to print the greenery using three different shades of green acrylic paint on the canvas. Next I used brushstrokes with pastel blue acrylic paint for the sky. I let that dry then i printed more acrylic green paint using a wipe across the bottom of the sky to make an overlapping effect. Then i used a sponge to dab white paint to make a cloud effect in the sky. Next i started drawing and cutting out different flowers on card. I stuck them onto the canvas in the bottom right and left corners, With some of the flowers overlapping eachother. After that i drew more flowers right onto the canvas using a black brush marker and paint pen. I then coloured all of the flowers in using paint sticks and paint pens in a variety of colours to shade some of the flowers. Near the end i added detail such as pollen and petals to a number of flowers. I painted a yellow sun using brushstrokes with acrylic paint. Next i Got a thick brush and used a thinner brush to add equal proportions of each rainbow colour to the thicker brush. I dipped it in water and painted the rainbow on the sky using the thicker brush. The water helped to make the rainbow transparent. Finally i drew vs for the birds using black brush marker.
