16-18 Category • 2026This is a drawing of my dog. Because I am housebound due to EDS and Long Covid, my dog is the closest I can get to nature on the average day. The birds are all species I can see from my window. My dog is always cheerful, and he can be a bit cheeky too! I'm always noticing birds messing outside my window. Even in cities, the cheekiness of nature shines through. When you are out enjoying nature, please remember that it is a privilege not everyone has. I drew this piece on my IPad by referencing a picture of my dog, using copyright-free pictures of birds from Wikimedia Commons for the background.
