I drew a front facing deer from the chest up. The animal has prominent branching antlers that extend upward and outward, giving it a strong, symmetrical presence. The deer’s face is simplified and expressive, with dark, almond-shaped eyes and bold black outlines defining the features. I painted the fur in warm tan and light brown tones, with loose brushstrokes and short line marks suggesting texture. I did the background in a wash of green hues, creating a soft, natural contrast that evokes a forest or woodland atmosphere without detailed scenery. I wanted the drawing to be whimsical, combining bold line work with gentle, earthy colors to create a calm yet striking portrait.
