In March 2025, we planted sunflower seeds with our young daughter and over the following weeks and months we watched her wonder and excitement as the seedlings changed shape and colour, soon growing into large sunflowers. She was very excited to plant them out in the garden and had a lot of fun playing with the soil. Throughout the summer, she enjoyed caring for and maintaining the sunflowers. We harvested seeds from Cara’s sunflowers and will plant them again this March. Like all things in nature, some will bloom and others won’t, which a lovely and meaningful lesson that nature can share with all of us!
